Who We Are
Where it all
began.
Le Petit Français was founded 14 years ago with a simple craving — authentic French baguettes, the kind you can't find just anywhere. After living in France and experiencing real boulangerie culture firsthand, our founders came to Edinburgh and couldn't find anything that came close.
So they started baking. What began as two passionate bakers with a vision has grown into a beloved Edinburgh bakery — supplying cafés, hotels and restaurants across the city, and delivering to homes every morning.
We're still driven by the same thing we started with: the belief that Edinburgh deserves genuinely great French bread.

Our Ingredients

We pride ourselves on using only the finest ingredients. Our flour and AOP butter are sourced directly from France — the same quality you'd find in a Parisian boulangerie.
AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) butter is produced to strict French standards of origin and quality. It's what gives our croissants and viennoiserie their genuine flavour — there's simply no substitute.
